Question by Sheena: Is the bleeding from first time sex or from my period?

I had sex for the first time last night, and I didn't experience any bleeding until this morning, which is now quite heavy. My period is also due around now though, probably between now and the next few days, so I'm wondering if this could be my period too, and how to tell when my period does start? We used a condom, but I'm still a bit nervous about pregnancy so I'd like to know for sure. Thanks.
Also, the bleeding seems to have subsided somewhat since.

Its most likely to be your period. If it were from sex you would have bled the night before.
